Kimberly (our Sugar Queen) and Natasha (our Sugar Diva) are the powerhouses behind Old Firehall Confectionery.
The two co-owners met and became best friends when their daughters were in competitive dance together. Kimberly and Natasha finish each other’s sentences and consider each other soul sisters. They both were looking for a new challenge in their careers where they could channel their passions, working together was a given.
Kimberly recalled treating her kids to an occasional “backwards day,” with dessert before dinner. The problem: few places could turn that outing into an event. But what if there was a shop that took sweets to a new level, located on a charming street with places to stroll or sit…?
Kimberly and Natasha found the Old Firehall and poured heart and soul into the Unionville landmark. They later opened two new locations and the rest is sweet history.

Our flagship store in the heart of Unionville sets the tone for our unique shops: it’s a historic building that at one time housed the town’s firehall.
Come by and see our treats being made right in the front window, and don’t forget an ice cream cone on your way out.
Our second location opened in 2018 in a charming gingerbread-style house amid the shops and restaurants of historic Kleinburg.
Grab yourself a coffee and handcrafted treat, and relax on our patio as you enjoy the small town experience.
